Tijuana Pinta Tijuana! will officially go underway on Monday October 6, The purpose of Tijuana Pinta Tijuana! is to unite the Tijuana community in an all city project to paint damaged parts of the city where not only will the community decide what to paint but also donate their unused buckets of paint they may have in their homes.
The intention of Tijuana Pinta Tijauna! is to promote a sense of community that has been lost with all the existent problems that plague the city of Tijuana on a daily basis.
Tijuana Pinta Tijuana! is a joint project between the Tijuana Ayuntamiento and the Stratige Group, whose members are working on ideas to improve the city's image it presents to the world.
The timeline and activties for the campaign are as follows:
* October 6 -11 (8 AM - 3 PM). Donation fo buckets of paint and brushes in the delegations and sub-delegations, Parque Morelos and Parque de la Amistad.
* October 11 (5 PM). Close of bucket and brush collection in the Tijuana Municipal Palace.
* October 13 - 18. Implementation of Tijuana Pinta Tijuana! rehabilitating with collected paint the spaces and structures proposed by the Tijuana community.
* November 1 at Parque Morelos (10 AM). Government will address all participating sponsors and volunteers with results of the campaign signaling the end of Tijuana Pinta Tijuana!
